On March 23, the eResearch Proposal Management system (eRPM) was updated to version 9.1 with several enhancements and bug fixes.
Maintenance Note: Starting this month, the eRPM server will be refreshed nightly at 7:15 p.m. If you are in eRPM at that time, you may experience about one minute of spinning or slowness, then it resolves. The goal is to reduce occurrences of emergency restarts needed mid-day.

Fixed an issue where the PEERRS Complete indicator was not recalculating on Cloned PAFs.

Updated the SF424 cover forms with ORSP’s new address, so you no longer need to override the old address.

Account Provisioning for Unit Approvers
Unit Approvers are now automatically given access to view and manage all relevant Ironclad records from the Friendly Ironclad ID links displayed in eRPM.
Reminder: Account Provisioning for PI & Project Teams
When an Ironclad record is created and launched by ORSP, PI & Project Team members are automatically granted access to specific record types:
- PAF/UFA - Contact PI, Primary Research Administrator
- AWD - Contact PI, Sponsor PI, Primary Post Award Contact, Additional Post Award Contact.
Note: Project Team personnel changes made in eRPM after an Ironclad record is created will not be automatically reflected in Ironclad. New project team members must be commented into the workflow for access, via Ironclad’s @mention feature.
For Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP)
Ironclad
Revised the Regental Action Request (RAR) Requirement integration process. This enhancement provides the ability to capture whether COI needs to submit a RAR and to receive the COI decision in Ironclad.
AWD/MOD
- Award Management Officer (AMO): Enabled a red workspace message in the Staff Notes section for Investigators/Personnel with Restrictions in addition to a conditional display at the bottom of project workspace Main tabs.
- AMO and Coordinators: Changed the default value of the field 'Is sponsor approval required for a No Cost Extension request?' from ‘True’ to ‘False’.
PAF
AMO and Coordinators: Improved the accuracy of the PAF AI Data Extraction process.
Research Security
Updated the Complete Risk Mitigation (Research Security) Review activity so that the ‘SUBK Point of Contact’ field is no longer required.
