Parking and Bus information

You will find a pay parking lot on Greene Street and meters down Hoover Street. See U-M Parking and Bus Services for nearby color-coded lots and the bus schedule. The U-M Commuter bus route includes a stop in front of the Administrative Service Building.

Afterhours Access

A valid Mcard will open exterior doors nights and weekends. Swipe your Mcard in a slow downward motion through the card readers located at the main/west, south or Hoover Street doors. A key opens the interior doors at ASB.

Arbor Lakes consists of three buildings (Building 1, Building 2 and Building 3) connected by "tubes." ITS has offices in all three buildings. Although the address is Plymouth Road, the buildings face Earhart Road, near Domino's Farms.

Parking

Note: If you have already turned onto Earhart Road, you do not have to return to Plymouth Road to get to the back lot. You can continue on Earhart Road and then turn right on Whitehall Road. The lot will be on the right.

From the front parking lot, enter Building 3 through the visitors' entrance, where the security guard at the desk will be glad to give you information and directions. If you park in the back and do not have a keycard for Arbor Lakes, you can enter one of two ways.

Afterhours Access

The lobby door in Building 3 and the suite doors are open from 7 a.m.–5 p.m. All other doors are locked 24/7; doors can be accessed with a keycard.

You will find a pay parking lot on Greene Street and meters down Hoover Street. In addition, you can park in the lot in front of Boyer if you have a Blue permit or Business Pass. See U-M Parking and Bus Services for nearby color-coded lots and the bus schedule. The U-M Commuter bus route includes a stop in front of the Administrative Service Building on Greene Street.

Building Entrance

In the foyer of the building, you'll find a key pad on the left and a list of phone numbers on the door in front of you. Call the person you are meeting to get buzzed in.

Afterhours Access

A key opens the exterior and interior doors at the Boyer Building.

Parking

U-M employees with blue parking permits (or higher—including Business Vehicle) may park in nearby blue parking structures (Thayer, Fletcher, Thompson). The Maynard Parking Structure is the closest public parking garage. There are parking meters on Washington Street—if you can find an open space. If you are visiting after 3 p.m., the Liberty Square Parking Structure offers parking for a $2.00 flat rate.

If you are coming from the Administrative Services Building (ASB) or Boyer, you can take the U-M Commuter Bus. Find out when the next bus is arriving at your preferred stop by using Magic Bus, also available on the Michigan App.

Building Entrance

Enter through the front door off of Washington. (When facing the two sets of double doors, ours is the set to the right. The set on the left is for the public parking garage.) For safety, the building is normally kept locked. For large events, we will greet you at the door or unlock the doors. If you arrive early, please ring the bell or knock on the front door.

Wolverine Tower (also known as WoTo) is located at the corner of State Street and Eisenhower Parkway. The Document Management and Imaging Team and Business and Finance IT (BFIT) are located on the 3rd floor. Parking is free for two-hour periods.
